Bringing the power of education to single parents

Dear Bob & Donna,

Thank you so very much for the generous grant of $18,509.17 on July 21, 2022 to the General Operaing Fund. Your investment helps further our mission and brings the power of education to single parents. We are grateful for your organization’s financial support and your commitment to our work.

Our model, built on evidence-based best practices, is designed to encourage and develop selfpower in each of our single parents. Because of this, we can be confident that when a family graduates from our program, they have the selfpower that is essential to push through barriers today in order to chart a different life in the future.

“Prior to starting my journey with Project Self-Sufficiency, I had selfpower, I just didn’t know how to use it. I knew I wanted to be a Registered Nurse, yet I had no clue how to reach that goal. My Project Self-Sufficiency Advisor helped me understand that I was absolutely capable of making my dream job a reality. Thanks to the donors and Project Self-Sufficiency, my daughters and I have a roof over our heads and a reliable car. I am currently in the competitive nursing program at Front Range Community College and next semester I will be duel-enrolled with Metro State, which enables me to graduate with my Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Getting to this point has take a level of perseverance that I did not know I had and mad me understand that I am really unstoppable.”

Our parents work hard to complete their education goals and prepare for living-wage employment and they cannot accomplish this without realizing their own selfpower. Thank you for bringing the power of education to our single parents.

Sincerely,

Tracy Mead
