Thank you from Intercultural Community Builders

Dear Bob & Donna and the Kristi Visocky Memorial Foundation:

On behalf of Intercultural Community Builders and the students who attended the 2024 ICB Experiential Literacy Program, I want to thank you for your donation and support. We had 15 students and five adult facilitators who attended. The students ranged in age from grades 1 through 8. Most of the students’ parents have jobs which means the kids are left at home alone and bored, so they have really enjoyed all the activities this program provided:

  • Art, rock painting, making stickers, coloring bags & visors, etc.
  • Games – Loteria (their favorite), soccer, volleyball, water games
  • Learning the city bus system
  • Dining at a restaurant, figuring out the tip and tax
  • First Aid lesson
  • Cooking
  • Discovery Museum
  • Lincoln Center concert
  • Martinez Farm and hayride
  • Denver Zoo

They learned a lot while having fun and made new friends.
